Prostitution Ring Busted At Philadelphia Airport Hotels

Philadelphia police made nine arrests, busting an alleged prostitution ring that operated out of airport hotels in the city.
Police say they targeted the activity near the Philadelphia International Airport because it was leading to other crimes in the area, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer and Philadelphia Daily News.
PHA’s Greene to go on leave

His decision comes following disclosure that he had fallen five months behind on his home mortgage payments and faced foreclosure proceedings.
Officer injured in South Philadelphia

A police officer was injured in violent encounter inside a South Philadelphia pharmacy late Tuesday afternoon, police said.
Police declared “Officer down!” at 5:41 p.m. at the Rite Aid at 15th Street and Moyamensing Avenue.
Lt. Douglas Stanford, a 29-year veteran, came to the Rite Aid to perform a routine security check and then sign a log, said Chief Inspector Scott Small.

But the lot at 1441 Chestnut St. is scheduled to be sold to the highest bidder in a public auction this October. Purchased for about $12 million in 2000, the site likely will sell for less than that given how weak the market is for new development.

FC Dallas 3-1 Philadelphia Union: Dallas Stays Hot With Win

The one-hundred degree kick off temperature did little to slow down FC Dallas, who used a pair of second half goals from Jeff Cunningham to earn full points against the Philadelphia Union.
Alejandro Moreno scored a goal for the visitors early in the game, but after goalkeeper Brad Knighton was sent off for taking down Dallas midfielder Brek Shea in the box, FCD coasted to a 3-1 win.
Philadelphia Phillies Defeat Florida Marlins In 10 Innings

The Florida Marlins couldn’t catch a break in the late stages of Thursday night’s game against the Philadelphia Phillies. The Phillies extended their win streak to four games as they try to regain the lead in the National League East. MLB betting trends have favored Philadelphia as they have won 12 out of their last 14.
Gaby Sanchez cam to the plate in the bottom of the ninth with a chance to drive home the winning run. The first baseman hit a bouncing ball down the third base line that umpire Bob Davidson called foul. A replay clearly showed the ball land in fair territory behind the base.
